Report: County Needs Place To Report Group Home Problems
The Franklin County Children Services has reviewed the Group Home system following a fatal attack of a woman in a local park.
Jane Juergens was allegedly murdered by a youth home member.
The report released Wednesday found that the county needs a central place to report concerns regarding provider agencies. For now, the issues will be handled through the Children Services Client's Rights Office.
The report also said there is a broader array of more "comprehensive community-based and/or placement based services to meet a complex population."
The FCCS reviewed more than 125 youth placed in group homes and reviewed facilities and staff.
