Students Ohio State University are concerned about a recent rash robberies on campus.

Columbus police say that they’ve responded to over a dozen linked robberies on or near campus, some involving weapons.

Detectives at the Ohio State University are spending the day going back and talking to victims of the recent rash of robberies. They're hoping to narrow down details of the suspects, with help from the Columbus Police Department.

According to police, each of these cases happened late at night and with multiple suspects surrounding their targets, often with a weapon.

In one case, armed men surrounded a group of four people walking to a bar. The suspects showed guns and demanded all the victims’ cash and valuables.

All of this leaves Chelsea Pruitt, an OSU student planning how she could fight back in an emergency.

"I do actually own a Taser, which I'm not sure how productive that would be. But I normally just kind of stick together and not walk in shady alleyways, stay where there's light streets or a good population of people” says Pruitt. “It’s a little alarming, especially being so close to home.”

Police remind to use extra vigilance between the hours of 10 p.m. and 1 a.m.
