WEATHER ALERT for rain turning to snow and very windy through this afternoon. Snowfall amounts of under 1" will be possible for areas south of I-70. Accumulations will range from 1-2" in the metro area with 2-4 inches northwest of Columbus, near US Highway 30. Higher amounts will be possible across northern Ohio. Strong, gusty winds will allow temperatures to plummet through the day with readings expected to drop into the teens by evening. Wind chill readings will likely drop below zero by late tonight. Snow will taper off overnight with partly cloudy skies and chilly conditions on Thursday. A quick warm up is expected to end the week.
