Police Seek Information About Bank Robber’s Whereabouts

Columbus police are searching for the man responsible for robbing a west side bank on Monday.

According to law enforcement officials, a man entered the bank, located at 130 N. Wilson Road, at about 1:50 p.m., and presented a note ordering the teller to give him cash.

The man fled the scene once the teller handed him an undisclosed amount of money from a drawer. He then walked around the east side of the Heartland Bank and headed south toward Broad Street.

Police are describing the man as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 180 pounds and ranging between the ages of 50 to 55 years. 

Surveillance cameras at the bank  captured the man wearing a grey Carhartt stocking hat, eyeglasses, a black Carhartt brand jacket, blue jeans and tan work boots.
