Police Release Name Of Shooting Suspect Arrested After SWAT Standoff

A victim of a shooting flagged down a school bus in Columbus on Wednesday, according to Columbus Police.

The shooting occurred in the 3000 block of Allegheny Avenue around 3 p.m.

According to police, Tremaine Sutton and a 24-year-old man got into an argument, and Sutton allegedly fired multiple shots at the man, striking him in the torso and the arm.

The victim was transported to Grant Medical Center in unknown condition.

Police said that the suspect in the shooting was arrested at about 6:30 p.m. at an apartment on Alleghany Avenue after a standoff with SWAT. 

Sutton is charged with felonious assault in connection with the shooting.
