Police: Maintenance Worker Shot Tenant, Guest While Responding To Noise Complaint

Two people were hospitalized after a shooting in north Columbus on Wednesday.

Detectives said that a maintenance worker, identified as 31-year-old Robert Gore, responded to a noise complaint at an apartment
along Broad Meadows Boulevard shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Both parties started arguing, and police said that they started a fist fight.

Gore pulled out his gun and shot a tenant and his guest, police said.

The two men were hospitalized and expected to recover.

One person was taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital and the other was taken to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Another maintenance worker was injured in the fight, which involved about five people total, police said.

Gore is charged with two counts of felonious assault.
