Police Investigating Southeast Columbus Shooting

Columbus police are investigating a shooting that happened Monday night in southeast Columbus.

The victim, 21-year-old Clayden McNeil told officers he was approcached by a stranger along Ann Street and East Whittier Street around 9:45 p.m.

McNeil said the stranger demanded money, then shot McNeil several times as he tried to run away.

McNeil later walked into Grant Medical Center with a gunshot wound. He is expected to survive.

Police say they took one man with a gun into custody for questioning after finding blood and shell casings in the alley near the home.
