Police said Tuesday that they were investigating after an eye doctor reported that a thief stole $10,000 worth of eyeglass and sunglass frames from his office.

Mark Rinkov told police that someone smashed through a window of Rinkov Eyecare Center, located on East Gay Street, Friday and ran off with the glasses.

Police said that it appeared that someone threw a brick through the glass.

The incident is the second report of eyeglass theft in the past month, 10TV News reported.

On April 29, a man used a large rock to smash the glass on the front door of Eyeglass Wearhouse, located at 1999 E. Dublin-Granville Rd.

According to investigators, the suspect stole $11,000 in eyeglass frames.
