Police Investigate School Bus Shot With Pellet Gunfire

Maysville Local Schools said one of its school busses was struck by pellet gunfire and a student was injured.

Ric Roush, the district's Director of Safety, said the bus was returning from a field trip Monday evening when the bus was struck near the intersection of Brighton Boulevard and Ridge Avenue.

Roush said one student was injured when glass fragments struck her. She was treated and released from the hospital.

35 students were on the bus when it was hit. The group was returning from a senior trip to Cedar Point.

Zanesville Police are investigating the incident.
