Police Identify Second Suspect In Carryout Murder

Investigators have identified the second suspect in a fatal shooting that happened Wednesday night in southeast Columbus.

Officers say two suspects shot a clerk while attempting to rob a carryout store on East Livingston and Lilley Avenues around 11:15 p.m.

The shooting victim, 34-year-old Imran Ashgar, died at the scene.

Authorities have identified 18-year-old Nathaniel Brunner as the second suspect in the murder.

Police identified 17-year-old Devonere Earl O’Shay Simmonds Thursday morning, after reviewing the store’s surveillance video.

Officers say Simmonds is seen holding a gun in the video.

Both suspects face murder charges.
