Police Discover 30 Marijuana Plants In Home While Hunting Alleged Robbers

A call for a robbery led police to two separate crime scenes and one big find Thursday morning.

According to police, a resident along the 300 block of East 13th Avenue heard a knock on his door around 2 a.m.

When he opened the door, at least five men rushed inside. The victim, whose identity was not released, claimed that he was beaten.

The men fled after the alleged beating, it was not clear what was taken.

While searching for the men, police discovered two people they believed might have been involved at a nearby home. When they entered the home, authorities discovered 30 small marijuana plants inside.

Authorities were continuing to search for the men and to look into a separate investigation into the marijuana plants.
