Police are looking for a man who allegedly kicked in the front door of a Cashland store in Washington Court House.

Authorities responded to a burglary alarm early Wednesday morning at the Cashland on the corner of Temple and Blackstone Streets.

The front door glass had been shattered, and police said they spotted the suspect fleeing the scene.

The suspect fled on foot and eventually eluded police and Fayette County sheriff’s deputies in the area of Wilson and Rawling Streets.

Investigators said they will look at surveillance video in efforts to find the suspect.

Police said the suspect had taken property from the Cashland, but dropped it as he was trying to get away.
