Police Charge Man After Fight In Parking Lots of Sawmill Road Restaurants
Police are investigating after a fight between two men turned into gunfire in the parking lots of two Sawmill Road restaurants.
The fight started just after 1:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Logans Roadhouse, just off I-270 on Sawmill Road.
According to police, a female caller dialed 911, stating her boyfriend had been shot and that the gunman fled the scene through the restaurant's parking lot.
Authorities captured the suspect, Jamon Kennedy, a short time later in another parking lot behind a Wendy’s restaurant.
Investigators were examining damage to a curb that may have been caused by a flying bullet.
Lunch customers never realized they were in any danger.
"I didn't think anything because I didn't hear anything. And then when I walked outside, I asked the officers what happened. It's shocking, here it is broad daylight in Dublin. I'm shocked," said one customer.
Friday night, police said the victim, Marcus Dillinger, was not shot.
Police say the men got in a fight at Logans and it moved over to IHOP where Kennedy fired his weapon. No one was shot.
Kennedy, 38, is charged with felonious assault.
