Police Charge 16-Year-Old In Shooting Death Of Teenage Girl
Columbus Police have arrested and charged a 16-year-old boy with murder in the shooting death of a 14-year-old girl.
The boy was taken into custody Tuesday night, along with a woman and another teenage boy.
Officers say the woman is accused of harboring her teenager son while police were searching for him.
Police say on August 11th they were called to a home at Dana Avenue and Town Street on the report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found 14-year-old Amanda Kirwin in the road, with a gunshot wound to her upper body.
Kirwin was taken to Mount Carmel West Hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Witnesses told police she had been outside with a group of friends when the shooting happened.
