Police Arrest McDonald's Worker Accused Of Robbing Restaurant

Columbus Police arrested a McDonald's worker who they said robbed the restaurant where he worked.

Officers arrested 46-year-old Lovell Hawkins on Wednesday.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at the McDonald’s on Morse and Hamilton Roads in the Gahanna area.

Columbus Police said the suspect told his manager “I have nothing to lose” and “I shot my girlfriend.”

Officers said he implied he had a gun and put the weapon to an employee’s back.

They said he also punched an employee in the throat before getting away in a Brown Chevy Trailblazer with tinted windows.

Hawkins was charged with aggravted robbery.

Officers have not released any further details about a possible shooting victim.
