Police Arrest Man Allegedly Connected To Refund Scam, Crash Into Home

A man and woman were arrested early Wednesday morning in connection with a refund scam.

Sunbury Police arrested Douglas Hart and Princess Harmon, otherwise known as Lisa Marcum, at a Grove City hotel on Wednesday.

Sunbury Police issued a warrant for the two last week.

Hart is charged with complicity to theft after police said that he took off from a Kroger store, located on state Route 3, after allegedly participating in ploy to scam the store out of money.

Police issued a warrant for Harmon, who also is accused in the Kroger theft.

Hart, 35, also is accused of crashing an SUV into a home, located in the 5200 block of Cherry Creek Parkway on Nov. 26, and then fleeing the scene.

Hart was wanted on a theft warrant out of Madison County at the time of the crash.

He previously spent six years at the London Correctional Institute on aggravated robbery charges. Hart has theft charges dating back to 1996 in Franklin County.
