Police: 2 people shot after responding to online ad in east Columbus

Columbus police are searching for a second person who allegedly robbed and shot two people responding to an online ad to buy an iPhone.

According to Columbus Police, 23-year-olds Devonte Housley and Daysean Foose posted a fake advertisement on a social media site, luring the victims into an ambush at a vacant apartment.

After arriving at the address in the 3000 block Maumee Bay Way, the victims were robbed and critically wounded after being shot.

The victims were taken to the hospital where they underwent emergency surgery and survived.

Foose is in police custody and has been charged with aggravated robbery. Police are requesting help in locating Housley.

He is described as a black male, 6’2’’ and 230 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees Housley should immediately call 911 and not attempt to approach or contact him.
