Plain City Police Department Looks For Volunteers
The Plain City Police Chief is looking for volunteers to help patrol the city.
Village council cut one full-time police officer and two part-time officers earlier this year to help fill a budget shortfall.
Now, the department is recruiting volunteers to help pick up the slack.
So far, the chief said he has interviewed two candidates who are now going through the background check process.
Volunteers will require 240 to 480 hours of field training depending on their experience.
