Person Hospitalized After Southeast Columbus Assault

Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a southeast Columbus assault on Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, a person was assaulted in the 2700 block of Brandy Drive, near Refugee and Noe Bixby roads, shortly before 5 p.m.

The call first came out as a shooting, but then officers confirmed the person had been assaulted.

The person was taken to Grant Medical Center in serious condition.

The name of the person involved was not immediately released.
