One Person Killed And One Hurt In South Linden Shooting

One person was killed in a shooting in South Linden after a home invasion.

The shooting happened around 10 p.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Terrace Lane near East 11th Avenue.

Columbus Police said two men with guns entered the home and demanded property from 28-year-old Lamont Quarterman.   

Officers said the suspects shot Quarterman and 50-year-old Tyrone Hilton.  Hilton died at the scene.  Quarterman was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Police at the scene told 10TV Hilton and Quarterman were father and son.

A five-year-old girl was also at the home during the shooting, but was not harmed.

One of the suspects was described as being in his mid-to-late 20s, 6’ tall, with a goatee and wearing a dark blue hoodie.  

The second suspect was said to be in his early 20s, about 5’8”, wearing a red hoodie.
