One Person Injured After Shooting In Southeast Columbus

Columbus Police are searching for a person accused of shooting a man in Southeast Columbus Sunday.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of Fairwood Avenue around 5:15 p.m.

Police found 20-year-old Rodney Freeman suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers said Freeman was walking down the street when he got into an argument with the suspect.

The suspect shot Freeman in the foot before running off.  Freeman was rushed to Grant Medical Center.  He is expected to recover from his injuries.

Police described the suspect as a heavyset black male, 16 or 17 years old, wearing a black t-shirt.
