Ohio State Highway Patrol Reports Busy Labor Day Weekend

The Ohio State Highway Patrol released new numbers showing a busy Labor Day weekend on Wednesday.

Arrests for drug activity and aggressive driving increased by 32 percent this year.

Drivers cited for drunken-driving also were on the rise.

More than 760 arrests were made statewide -- a 9-percent increase over last year.

But there was a slight silver lining -- traffic fatalities decreased.

Thirteen motorists were killed over the holiday weekend.

That’s down by one from 2012.

Troopers say they're encouraged after the increase in enforcement.
