Ohio AG Declines Mayor's Request To Investigate Chillicothe Police Chief

The Ohio Attorney General's Office said there will be no outside investigation of Chillicothe's police chief.

The mayor requested a third party investigation into the behavior of police Chief Roger Moore at a bar on March 16. Cell phone video caught an altercation with the chief and another man.

Moore is currently taking a week-long vacation to "reflect" on the incident.

Representatives from Attorney General Mike DeWine's office said the Bureau of Criminal Investigation declined to open an investigation into Moore because the situation is being reviewed locally.

Chillicothe Mayor Jack Everson has not said what will be the next step into Moore's investigation since the BCI has declined to step in.
