Officials: Fireworks Spark Blaze In Vacant Home In SW Ohio
Fire officials in Ohio say fireworks sparked the flames that started a fire at a vacant house in a Dayton suburb.
WDTN-TV reports the blaze started at about 1 a.m. Friday in Trotwood.
Trotwood Chief Brandon Barnett tells the station the second floor had collapsed by the time firefighters were on the scene. No injuries were reported.
A neighbor says the home hasn't been occupied for at least a year since the previous owner died.
Fire officials are working to determine whether the fire was intentionally started.
Barnett says it's the city's first fire related to fireworks this year.
