ODOT Adding Turn Lanes To Reduce Congestion At U.S. 23, S.R. 750
The Ohio Department of Transportation is adding turn lanes to help traffic heading toward the Polaris area.
According to ODOT, turn lanes will be added from U.S. Route 23 south to state Route 750 east. When the project is completed, there will be two turn lanes.
The right turn lane from U.S. 23 south to head west on S.R. 750 will be changed to give drivers the option to turn right or head straight.
A right turn lane also will be added for those headed west on S.R. 750 to travel north on U.S. 23.
According to ODOT, at peak times during the week, 300 vehicles travel each hour along U.S. 23 south and turn left on S.R. 750. More travel that way during the weekend.
There have been 18 crashes in three years on S.R. 750 west turning onto U.S. 23. Thirteen of the crashes were rear-end crashes, according to ODOT.
