Not All Black Friday Deals Are Worth The Wait
Customers trying to get Black Friday deals are already staking a claim to their place in line.
They may have a good spot, but there’s still 72 hours until doors open.
"When you have five kids and you have limited income what you want to be able to do is provide for them and get them decent Christmas presents,” said Tony Avitar, a shooper from Cuyahoga Falls.
A new study suggests that waiting in line may not be the best option for deals.
"Our advice for consumers is to sleep in on Black Friday, the best deals are either before Black Friday or after Black Friday,” said Shauna Casey of Decide.com.
Decide.com looked at the past six years and found that timing is everything.
TV and camera deals usually come early in the calendar year. Bargains for laptops are found closer to Christmas.
But that doesn’t mean there’s no reason to camp out.
"On Black Friday, the best deals that can be found are on video game consoles, anything videogame related is a great deal on Black Friday. Also home fitness equipment is a fantastic deal,” said Casey.
