COLUMBUS, Ohio — Columbus police and SWAT team members arrested a 19-year-old accused of fatally shooting a 20-year-old man in December.
Laquan Brandon Stewart is charged with murder for the death of Kameron Guishard.
Police said officers were called to Century Drive, in between Minnesota Avenue and Myrtle Avenue, for a report of a shooting just before 10:20 p.m. on Dec. 10.
Officers found a man, later identified as Guishard, who had been shot. He was taken to Riverside Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 11:05 p.m.
Guishard's death marked the 187th homicide of 2021 in Columbus.
