A missing four-year-old boy in Licking County has been found dead.

Family members said investigators found Colton Angus in about nine feet of water in the north fork section of the Licking River.

Deputies said Colton Angus went missing around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. He was last seen in the area of William Road and Hatfield Lane off SR 13.

There was a massive rescue presence both on the ground and in the air as the Ohio State Highway Patrol provided air support.

"No other word than tragic, children, I have kids, they love the water, you have to be so careful, they're so fast they can get away from you.  I don't know the details of this situation how the child got out to the river without someone being there. It's just tragic," said Colonel Chad Dennis with the Licking County Sheriff's Office.

This is the second drowning incident involving a four-year-old in Licking County.

Saturday evening, a little boy was pulled from pond in Newton Township, north of Newark.

The child was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital in life-threatening condition.

The child's name has not been released.  10TV has been unable to get an update on his condition.
