Middle School Teacher Investigated After Student Allegations Of Inappropriate Contact
Separate investigations have been launched after a student complained of months of inappropriate contact by a teacher.
A middle school teacher in the Northridge Local School District is at the center of this investigation, but the complaint came from a high school student.
The Middle and High School share the same location.
The Ohio Department of Education and the Licking County Sheriff's Office are investigating the complaint.
10TV will not name the teacher since the investigations are ongoing, and he has not been charged.
According to the personnel file, obtained by 10TV, the high school student went to her principal to make the complaint.
The file says the student told the principal the teacher made her "very uncomfortable."
The official complaint in the file states the teacher made inappropriate comments the past few months, and most recently, inappropriate contact.
Documents show he was immediately put on paid administrative leave and ordered to have no contact with students in the Northridge Local School District.
The teacher has been assigned to home during school hours, until both the Ohio Department of Education and the Licking County Sheriff's Office complete their investigation.
