Mansfield police are investigating after a three month old baby was found dead in a home.

During the investigation into the infant's death, officers found a meth lab in the home.

Around 5:30 p.m. Monday, the baby was taken to an area hospital and pronounced dead. Because of the death, police executed a search warrant at a home on West 4th street in Mansfield.

Police said the search led to the discovery of an active meth lab, and officers arrested Alexander Dickson on drug charged.

Right now, the meth lab and baby's death are not believe to be connected. Police say there are no charges filed in the baby's death, but any time an infant dies, it's considered suspicious.
