McDonald's Employees Locked In Cooler For Hours During Robbery


Columbus Police were searching for a female robbery suspect early Thursday morning.

Police said a female robber went to the McDonald's in the 2400 block of Lockbourne Road around 2:00 a.m.

Employees said the suspect was armed with a gun. She locked them in the restaurant cooler for hours while robbing the restaurant.

They were stuck in the cooler until shortly before 6:00 a.m., when the restaurant manager arrived for his shift. When he found the employees, he called 911.

Police said none of the employees were injured. The female suspect was wearing a gas mask and a green Carhartt jacket.
