Pleasant Local Schools said that the district has taken care of a small outbreak of Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.

The Pleasant High School principal said that three football players were officially diagnosed with MRSA in September.

Three other football players and one volleyball player were treated for MRSA, but not officially diagnosed.

The principal said crews disinfected the high school, middle schools and all locker rooms, and they have not had any problems since.

MRSA is a bacteria that is resistant to many antibiotics.
