According to Sharon Township Police, a man with a temporary protection order against him was arrested at 90 Pocono Road on Sunday evening.

When the handcuffed man, identified as Stephen J. Soler, was put into the cruiser, he set part of the seat where he was sitting on fire.

The officer who was driving pulled over, and fire officials were called to put out the fire.

While fire officials were checking Soler for injuries, he damaged equipment and spit in the faces of both the medic and a police officer.

He was then put in another cruiser, which he tried to tear up and bend the door with his feet.

According to the Sharon Township Police Chief, Soler has been arrested before. During the earlier arrest, he was able to activate a fire extinguisher in a cruiser with his feet.
