A man accused of stabbing his mother and her boyfriend told detectives that the action "just felt natural."

Police said Juanito Ackerman, 22, stabbed Jiliali Jawad, 26 at a residence on Deshler Avenue around 9:45 a.m. Saturday.
Jawad was apparently dating Ackerman's mother, according to police reports.
Ackerman's mother, Cynthia Davila, 41, was stabbed several times when she came into the room after she heard the alleged assault.

Jawad was cut in the cheek, back of the head and his hand. He will need plastic surgery, according to authorities.

Davila was stabbed in the left clavicle, left breast and her hand.

Police found Ackerman with a 6 to 8 inch knife in his possession.

Davila said that Ackerman is a documented "non functional Schizophrenic."

Neighbor Ray Iten said police cars at the residence are nothing new.
Iten said Ackerman suffers from mental illness and would sometimes cause trouble in the neighborhood.
"It's sad because I never could believe her son could do that to her," said Iten.

A judge set $75,000 bonds for Ackerman for each stabbing offense.
