Columbus Police arrested a man they say robbed someone outside a northwest Columbus restaurant.

It happened around 12:30 a.m. in the parking lot of Chipotle on Park Center Circle, near Tuttle Crossing.

The victim told officers that a man with a gun walked up to him and demanded cash. The victim complied and the gunman took off on foot.

Police from several different departments responded and fanned out, searching for the gunman. They found the man they believe to be the suspect a short time later just down the road and took him into custody.

The victim was not injured during the altercation and was able to positively identify the man police captured.
