Man Indicted For ID Theft While Receiving Services At Ohio State Medical Center
A Franklin County Grand Jury returned an indictment against a man accused of using someone else's identity to get medical services.
Kenneth A. Marshall, 41, was indicted on charges of theft, identity fraud and possessing criminal tools.
Marshall is accused of using a fraudulent identity at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center from 2008 to 2013.
Marshall allegedly gained possession of a stolen license six years ago in Terre Haute, Ind.
Officials at the medical center discovered that Marshall used the victim's ID multiple times.
He is accused of getting around $345,000 in services from OSU.
The OSU Wexner Medical Center released the following statement last week:
"It appears we and an individual may have been the victims of an identity thief. We are cooperating fully with police to ensure this case is properly investigated and prosecuted."
If convicted, Marshall faces more than 10 years behind bars.
