Man Charged With Shooting, Killing Man On North Side Turns Self In

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said that a man charged with murder in connection with a Sunday homicide turned himself in Monday afternoon.

According to the sheriff's office, 22-year-old Brandon Lee Hobbs turned himself in to the sheriff's office at noon.

He is accused of shooting and killing Jaron L. Kirkling at about 3 p.m. in the 1700 block of Huy Road.

According to investigators, Kirkling and Hobbs got into an argument, and Hobbs fired several shots at Kirkling and then fled.

Kirkling, 26, was taken to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators considered Hobbs to be armed and dangerous.
