Man Charged In 2 Lancaster Rape Cases

A Columbus man is facing charges in two rape cases in Lancaster.

Ricky D. Perez was arrested on Tuesday and is being held on a $500,000 bond.

According to police reports, Perez allegedly raped one woman on Harrison Avenue and another on West Fair Avenue. The attacks occurred 18 months apart.

The Harrison Avenue rape occurred on January 1, 2012. A woman told police that she was forced into an alley and assaulted.

The second alleged rape occurred on July 20 of last year. A woman reported that a car full of men yelled at her. She was later grabbed from behind and forced across the street and assaulted.

Perez is currently being kept at the Fairfield County Jail.
