Man Burned In Guernsey County Fracking Site Explosion

A man was flown to the hospital after an explosion at a Guernsey County fracking site.

It happened around midnight on Mcburney Road in Quaker City.

The Quaker City Fire Department says there was a problem with some of the pumps. When workers went to shut them off, there was an explosion.

One man was burned over 30-50% of his body. He suffered third-degree burns to his face and hands.

The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office says the man was flown to the nearest burn unit at Akron Children’s Hospital.

His condition was not immediately known.
