Licking County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man late Thursday night accused of a dangerous road rage incident.

According to the sheriff's office, Daniel Noble was traveling north on state Route 79 near Grumms Lane, when he came to a slower vehicle in front of him.

Noble, 61, who was driving a white van, allegedly pulled out a handgun and fired two shots at the slower vehicle as he tried to pass it.

The driver of the slower vehicle, who pulled over when Noble tried to pass, followed Noble's van at a distance, got the license plate number and called 911.

Deputies arrested Nobel at his home a short time later. Deputies said that Noble acknowledged the shooting and appeared to be under the influence of the alcohol.

Noble was expected to be charged with aggravated menacing, improperly discharging a firearm, using weapons while intoxicated and possession of drug paraphernalia on Friday.
