Man Accused In Family Dollar Break-In Is Suspect In Other Cases

The man accused of breaking the front window of a Family Dollar store with a rock appeared in court on Wednesday.

Police said Clarence Pierce smashed the window of the store on Harrisburg Pike around 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

Authorities said that Pierce took deodorant and headphones from the store.

Police say they spotted Pierce several blocks away with a bag containing the stolen merchandise. He was arrested after a foot chase.

Authorities say Pierce has an extensive criminal history and is a suspect in other store break-ins.

A judge set Pierce's bond at $60,000 for the breaking and entering charges.
