An arson investigation is underway after firefighters say someone lit clothes on fire inside a north Columbus home.

It happened around 3 a.m. Saturday at an apartment on North 4th Street.

Authorities report a call about a domestic situation at that address an hour before the fire.

Investigators say the suspect may have had an argument with the woman who lives at the apartment and lit clothes on fire in a bathroom after the woman left.

The fire was contained to one apartment.

A K9 unit was called out to help with the investigation.

Investigators say the fire caused $8,000 in damage.

No one was injured.

Authorities have not yet arrested a suspect.
