A cold front has moved south of the Ohio River allowing for cooler, less humid air to filter into central Ohio this morning. Temperatures will start out in the 60s and climb into the lower 80s this afternoon. It will not be as muggy today as it has been over the last several days. After another quiet and comfortable night tonight, the heat and humidity will begin to return on Friday as winds turn back out of the south. Skies will be partly cloudy on Friday with highs rebounding back into the middle to upper 80s.
Another storm system will begin to move toward the Ohio Valley late Saturday into Sunday bringing our next chance for showers and thunderstorms. The greatest threat for rain looks to be Sunday into Labor Day as another cold front moves into the area. This will allow temperatures to cool slightly on Sunday before the front returns north on Labor Day. Highs will reach to near 90 degrees ahead of the front Saturday and cool back into the lower to middle 80s for Sunday and Labor Day. Unsettled weather will likely linger into Tuesday.
Inconvenient Weather: After a quick break from the heat and humidity today, summer weather will return Friday into the coming holiday weekend as temperatures once again approach 90 degrees by Saturday. Scattered thunderstorms will return for the second half of the weekend.
Planning Your Day: Mostly sunny skies and more seasonable temperatures are in the forecast today. It will also be less humid. Highs will reach into the lower 80s.
