LeBron, Gilbert Past Could Make Return To Cleveland Difficult
For LeBron James to return to Cleveland, he would have to forgive the man who attacked him harder than anyone else four years ago.
Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert took his shots as James left home to chase NBA championships in Miami.
As James considers his next move in free agency and an entire region breathlessly awaits a homecoming it couldn't imagine in its wildest dreams, it's not clear if James and Gilbert have had a face-to-face meeting. In his infamous letter to Cleveland fans on July 8, 2010, Gilbert referred to James as "our former hero" and called his departure "cowardly."
But James' interest in meeting with the Cavaliers to see what they can offer him, indicates a level of willingness to reunite with Gilbert.
