Lancaster Police Start Testing Portable Video Cameras

The Lancaster Police Department is the latest to equip its officers with portable video cameras.

The cameras can be worn multiple ways, including on eyeglasses and hats.

The cameras record images from the officer’s point of view, documenting everything from traffic stops to criminal complaints.

The department just started its test phase on the cameras being used during patrol.

The Sunbury Police Department also started testing these cameras in May.
