Lancaster Man Killed In Crash Involving Garbage Truck

Police have identified a driver who was killed when his vehicle collided with a garbage truck on Thursday, according to the Lancaster Eagle Gazette.

The newspaper reported that Troy M. Tatman, 38, was killed after his pick-up truck was struck by a city garbage truck on West Fair Avenue.

Authorities told 10TV on Thursday that they believe the pick-up truck was going too fast, struck a curb and then collided the garbage truck.

The driver of the garbage truck was not injured.

Tatman's vehicle caught fire after the collision. He was taken to Fairfield Medical Center and flown to Grant Medical Center where he died.
