Investigators Charge Father With Murder 6 Months After 4-Year-Old’s Death

A man is charged with murder and other offenses  six months after his 4-year-old son was found unresponsive.

Reynoldsburg police said on Friday that Alfred A. Hill was indicted on Thursday in connection with his son’s death on July 12.

Police responded to a home in the 1200 block of Baytree Court on a report of a non-breathing child. The child was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital where he died.

The Franklin County Coroner’s Office reported in October that they considered the child’s death a homicide.

At the time of the boy’s death, Hill was wanted on kidnapping and rape charges in connection with allegedly forcing his ex-girlfriend, who was 19 at the time, to walk with his 1-year-old daughter to an abandoned house, where he allegedly raped her.

Hill currently is being held at the Franklin County Jail.
