A cold front will cross central Ohio late tonight and bring the chance for rain or snow after midnight. Some light snow will be possible Sunday morning as the cold front moves away. Snowfall accumulations will remain light with a coating of snow possible before the snow ends. Colder air will filter in behind the front with high temperatures Sunday only in the upper 30’s to near 40 degrees. A wave of low pressure will move along the front late Sunday bringing the chance of rain or snow into southern Ohio.
Skies will clear Sunday night with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies on Monday. Temperatures will continue to tumble with highs near or below freezing to start the week. Another weak system will cross the Ohio Valley and bring a chance for light snow or flurries on Tuesday.
Alerts : Numerous Flood Warnings continue for rivers around central Ohio through at least Sunday.
Inconvenient Weather: Light rain or snow will develop after midnight tonight. As temperatures drop near or below freezing by daybreak Sunday, most of the precipitation will change to light snow. A coating of snow will be possible, mainly north of I-70. Also, the rain or melting snow that initially falls tonight may refreeze as temperatures drop early Sunday morning, and may create black ice.
