Identity Released Of One Boater Killed In Buckeye Lake

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources released the identity of one man who went overboard while fishing in Buckeye Lake.

Gary W. Cook, 62, Columbus was the owner of the boat.

Rescuers pulled his body from the water on Friday after his boat overturned around 12:30 p.m.

The boat was found in the western part of the lake near Millersport.

Another man is still missing and presumed dead, but his identity has not been released.

Six boats searched Buckeye Lake for him on Sunday along with several canine units.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol also assisted with the aerial search.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources expects to resume the search on Monday at 8 a.m.
