Interstate 70 was shut down in both directions near Pickerington on Sunday.

A crash occurred on the overpass at state Route 256 just before noon.

Westbound I-70 was re-open around 1:30 p.m. Both directions of I-70 were open by 2:30 p.m.

The crash involved a semi and two cars. The vehicles were stopped because of construction when the semi struck them, according to officials on the scene.

Two people were taken to the hospital with injuries. An 11-year-old in the back seat of one of the cars escaped unharmed.

Emergency crews were working to have the vehicles removed from the scene.

Authorities said the driver of the semi will be cited for failure to ensure clear distance.
